The Genesis of Dragon Gi
Dragon Gi Ltd was founded in 2019 by Anders, a dedicated BJJ enthusiast who grew tired of the trade-off between quality and affordability. As a company officially registered with Companies House UK, Dragon Gi stands behind its commitment to trust and transparency within the martial arts community. Like many in the community, Anders faced a constant dilemma: invest in a high-end gi that cost a fortune or settle for cheaper alternatives that would fall apart after just a few months of intense training. The market was filled with gear that either disrespected the wallet or disrespected the art.
Anders envisioned a brand that could bridge this gap a brand built on the core BJJ principles of efficiency, integrity, and continuous improvement. He wanted to create premium, durable, and beautifully designed gear that every practitioner could be proud to wear, from the fresh white belt to the seasoned black belt. Dragon Gi was born from this simple mission: to provide the BJJ community with the exceptional gear it deserves, without the prohibitive.
From a Small Garage to a Global Community
We started small, operating out of a garage packed with our first inventory shipments. It was a hands-on operation fueled by late nights, early mornings, and a deep love for Jiu-Jitsu. We meticulously tested every fabric, inspected every stitch, and obsessed over every design detail. Our first customers were our training partners and local competitors, whose honest feedback helped us refine our products.
Word began to spread. The community recognized our commitment to quality. Today, that small garage operation has grown into a thriving business, but our core values remain unchanged. We still see every product as a promise to our fellow practitioners.

Our team is small but mighty, composed of individuals who live and breathe Jiu-Jitsu.
- Anders: Founder & Visionary. Anders's passion for BJJ and his frustration with the gear market are the cornerstones of our brand. He still personally tests new product prototypes on the mat.
- The Dragon Gi Crew: Our dedicated team handles everything from design and logistics to customer support. We're a mix of blue, purple, and brown belts who are just as likely to discuss a new guard pass as we are to process an order.
